The 2008 Season promises to be a fabulous mix of music and theatrical arts. From a popular guitarist to children's theatre and on to a celebration of our country's veterans, this year will be one to remember!

 

With the assistance of our members, ConocoPhillips,  Oklahoma Arts Council, Mid-America Arts Alliance and Boettcher, Martin, Jean, & Jackson, you can enjoy these events free of charge.

 

All performers will also appear in the schools.

 
The purpose of the Ponca City Arts & Humanities Council is to develop, cultivate, promote, advance, support, coordinate, and sponsor the fine, applied and performing arts and humanities, as well as performances, exhibitions, displays, and activities involving same.

The Ponca City Arts & Humanities Council is not formed for pecuniary or financial gain, and no part of the assets, income or profit of the Ponca City Arts & Humanities Council is distributable to, or inures to the benefit of its directors or officers.

   
The Board of Directors of the Council is comprised of 15 members and meets monthly.  Each board member also serves on at least one committee.  There is a part-time paid Coordinator who is a non-voting member of the board.

Board members serve a three-year term, and are not eligible to serve more than two continuous terms.

  • Memberships / Donations
  • Grants from arts organizations (Oklahoma Arts Council, Midwest Arts)
  • Fundraisers (silent auction at the Marland Mansion Christmas Gala)
  • Annual grant from ConocoPhillips
   
The Ponca City Arts & Humanities Council, incorporated in 1986, was originally formed to coordinate the Affiliated Artist Programs for Conoco.  Today, ConocoPhillips continues to generously support the offerings that are managed by the Council, with the understanding that the Council provide free arts and humanities programming to the community whenever possible.
